Audition on September 23 at 6:30 p.m. for "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown"
Show Dates are November 18 at 7:00 p.m. November 20 at 8:15 a.m. and 12:30 p.m November 21, at 8:15 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. We are seeking motivated older teen and adult performers who must be available for the daytime shows on November 20 and 21. To audition be prepared with a 1-2 minute monologue as well as a theatrical vocal selection. There is no dance audition. Make sure to bring recorded accompaniment, an accompanist, or be prepared to sing a capella for your vocal audition. Rehearsals begin in early October. Audition on September 30 at 10 a.m. for "Beautiful Star: An Appalachian Nativity"
We need actors, singers, and music-pickers. There are roles for adults of all ages including older teens and 3 roles for children. It is not necessary to read music. There are no dance requirements.
In this family-favorite musical, Reverend Ledbetter and the Open Heart Community Fellowship gather for their rendition of the Christmas story. Down-home laughter and toe-tapping mountain music will set the stage as the joy and wonder of the Christmas season unfold.
To audition for a role please prepare a 1 - 2 minute monologue and a vocal selection within the bluegrass/country gospel/mountain music genres. Vocal selections may be performed without music or you may bring an accompanist or accompany yourself. Need help to find a monologue? Download the document below for monologues from the show!
To audition as a musician please bring your instrument and be ready to play a couple of short selections within the genre.
Rehearsals will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings beginning in October. The show dates are December 1 and 2. There will be a call schedule, and not all characters will be called to all rehearsals until nearer to the performances. Child characters will be called less frequently.
